CDRD signs a MoU with University of Ruhuna

check-all The Centre for Defence Research and Development (CDRD) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Ruhuna on 6th November 2025, at the University of Ruhuna, Matara. The MoU was signed by Professor P.A. Jayantha, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna and Commodore J.U. Gunaseela USP psc ndc, Director General of CDRD, representing the two prestigious institutions.


check-all This partnership aims to strengthen collaboration between the two parties to achieve mutual benefits while addressing national-level research gaps in the Science and Technology sector. Through this MoU, students and researchers from the University of Ruhuna will have the opportunity to work closely with CDRD on real-world defence projects, gaining valuable industry exposure and contributing to national development.
