Director General of CDRD Calls on Commander of the Navy

Commodore Janaka Gunaseela, Director General of the Centre for Defence Research and Development (CDRD), paid a courtesy call on Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, at the Naval Headquarters on 8th June 2025. The meeting signified a key milestone in strengthening inter-service cooperation across critical national domains.
The discussion focused on fostering collaborative initiatives between the Sri Lanka Navy and CDRD, particularly in the areas of research and development, joint defence ventures, and strategic knowledge exchange. Both leaders acknowledged the importance of these efforts in enhancing national defence capabilities and contributing to long-term socio-economic progress.
