CDRD Recognized for Innovation at Techno 2024

The Centre for Defence Research and Development (CDRD) proudly participated in Techno 2024, Sri Lanka's premier engineering and technology exhibition, held at BMICH from 12–13 October 2024. Among the showcased projects, the Small Arms Firing Simulator stood out, earning accolades for its innovative design and remarkable performance.
The Small Arms Firing Simulator is a cutting-edge training system designed to enhance soldier readiness through realistic and immersive firing practice. Its advanced simulation technology reduces training costs while improving precision and safety for personnel in the armed forces.
In recognition of this groundbreaking contribution to defence technology, Techno 2024 awarded a plaque of appreciation to CDRD, highlighting the collaborative efforts of the following team members; LCdr RP Gamage, LCdr DT Widanagamage, LEM KGM Prasanna and LREM DLN Srimanna. The prestigious award ceremony was held on 22 November 2024, at Water's Edge, with the presence of esteemed dignitaries and professionals from the engineering community.
