check-all The Centre for Defence Research and Development recently hosted an informative workshop on "Data Science and Machine Learning," in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science Engineering at the University of Moratuwa. Held on our premises, the event saw participation from both military and civilian personnel.


check-all The workshop was led by two distinguished lecturers from the University of Moratuwa, Dr. Uthayasanker Thayasivam and Dr. Thanuja Ambegoda. Both are esteemed experts in the fields of data science and machine learning, and their presentations provided a deep dive into both the foundational principles and practical applications of these advanced technologies.


check-all Through comprehensive sessions, attendees explored how data science and machine learning can significantly enhance decision-making processes, boost operational efficiency, and foster innovation within the defence sector.
