  GIS technology is very widely used in government, industry, military, and academia to model our world. The Centre for Research and Development is the research institute of the Ministry of Defence of Sri Lanka and one of the pioneers in GIS field.

• Basic Drone Mapping Course

  Drone Mapping and Drone Development or commonly sayingUnmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) are developing aggressively, and many military govenment and non-govenment agencies are considering acquring this technology.

Organization

The Headquarters CRD is the Command and Control arm of the organisation. The HQ is headed by a Director General, equivalent to a Major General who is assisted by staff consisting of a Deputy Director General and Staff Officers.
