COMMANDER OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY VISITED CRD

The Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General N U M M W Senanayake RWP RSP VSV USP USACGSC, visited the Centre for Research and Development on 20 February 2019. The visit was aimed at observing ongoing research projects.

Upon arrival, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army was received by the Director General of the CRD, Dr. STS De Silva. Also present were Chief Controller Gp Capt KSC Rodrigo, Chief Coordinator Col SHPD Thilakarathne, Chief Coordinator (IT & GIS) Lt Col LRK Kahandagamage and Chief Coordinator (NBC) Dr. DC Perera.

Subsequently, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army visited the IT/GIS Wing, Electronics Wing, Cyber Security Section and the NBC Wing where he inspected the progress of R&D projects and engaged in a friendly discussion with Tri-Forces and Academic personnel on matters of mutual interest.

At the end of the visit, an official souvenir was presented to the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, and commemorative group photograph was taken to mark the occasion. The Commander of the Sri Lanka Army also expressed his gratitude to all CRD personnel for their achievements, devotion and professionalism while also giving his blessing for the success of future endeavours.
